Halloween Madness

This is what our street looked like at about 6:00 it wasn't even dark yet. They don't really celebrate Halloween here in Singapore but if you want to celebrate and go trick or treating our neighborhood is where you go here in Singapore. We had an estimated 3,000 trick or treaters this year, and that is not an exaggeration. They actually block off the street and we noticed they had a first aid and lost and found station. I spent over $60 on candy and was out is in less than 45 minutes. I bought things like individually wrapped mentos (the cheapest thing I could find) and only gave 1 to each person. It is insane. You just sit outside your gate and hand out to the masses. When you are out of candy you have to move the crowd out of the way so you close your gate. A closed gate indicates not participating or out of candy. Many people buy their candy in the states and bring it home with them at the end of the summer. Here are the boys. I think we have used this Darth Vader costume for at least 3 years. Ashton was going to use a costumes from last year but found some face paint as we were digging out the costumes about 15 minutes before we were trying to get out the door. Here wanted to have 2 round red dots on his cheeks and the rest of his body painted yellow (note he was wearing underwear at the time). We talked him into a yellow shirt instead and he decided on wearing a red cape. He was trying to be Pikachu (a Pokemon character). This is Hayden with his Teacher Mr. Williams. Here is the link to Hayden's class pictures. http://pseagle.sas.edu.sg/twilliams/ They are in the 2nd quarter now. If you look at the Halloween party you will see a picture of Collin in his pumpkin costume. My battery was dead when I went to take pictures. You gotta love that.
These are our German friends Larine and Marvin they are the same age as the boys and they have a little brother named Valentine who is less than 2 weeks younger the Collin. The only barrier we have is the older boys don't speak the same language. The seem to be able to play still though.
