The Market
After we picked out our chicken and got over the fate we just gave it we moved on to a spice table Heinz (It is a long story but our Instructor was original from Switzerland) had set up. It was another one of my favorite parts. He showed us what everything looked liked, cut it open so we could smell, touch and taste everything. There was so much to absorb and learn but I was in heaven. He also had fruits to try and there were things I had previously tried but obviously they had not been fresh because everything there was so much better. Due to lack of refrigeration many local have, most produce had been picked and on the the table in less the 48 hours. How long ago do you think the banana you had for breakfast was picked off the tree.
I just think their handcrafted items were amazing there the carvings and other art work were abundant and so cheap.
I love how this guy is just hanging out with the hacked up chicken while talking on the phone.
